It was revealed this week that Cheryl Cole is having a tattoo removed from her body because she believes it doesn’t fit her image.
The X Factor judge is reportedly planning to undergo painful laser surgery to have the black ‘barbed wire’ design removed from her thigh. An insider close to Cheryl said: “Cheryl feels like she has outgrown the tattoo and is worried it no longer fits her image.“
Despite having consultations with the relevant professionals to remove the inking, the Girls Aloud singer is not planning on any of her other more discreet tattoos to be removed.
The insider explained: “Cheryl is happy with her other four tattoos – particularly her ‘Mrs Cole’ inking at the back of her neck, they are small enough to not be as obvious as the large one wrapped around her thigh.“
Speaking about her designs recently, Cheryl said: “You do daft things when you’re young, don’t you?” Cheryl isn’t the only star considering the painful laser surgery.
Earlier this year, Pamela Anderson wanted her body art treated because she feared they would become an ‘eyesore’ as she gets older.
A friend of Pamela’s said: “Pamela is seeing the effects of age and hard living on her body. Her skin is getting soft. She feels like her tattoos are going to become eyesores. She’s not a kid anymore. She doesn’t want blurry ink all over her wrinkled arms.“
